For the 2025/2026 Slovakian Government Scholarships for International Students, which are intended to assist international students, PhD candidates, university instructors, researchers, and artists who wish to study in Slovakia, applications are now being accepted from appropriately qualified applicants. The National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic, also known as the Slovakian Government Scholarship, provides financial aid for international students, PhD candidates, university instructors, researchers, and artists to stay at higher education institutions and research organizations in Slovakia during the current academic year.

2025/2026 Slovakian Government Scholarships | Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for the Slovakian Government National Scholarship 2025–2026:
- be researchers or students at universities outside of Slovakia.
- possess a master’s degree, which is the second level of higher education, or have completed at least two and a half years of university coursework in the same program by the time of the application deadline.
- will be studying in Slovakia while pursuing their higher education outside of the country, and who will be granted admission to a public, private, or state institution in Slovakia as part of an academic mobility program.

International university teachers, researchers, and artists who are invited to a teaching, research, or artistic stay in Slovakia by an organization with a valid certificate of eligibility to carry out research and development, which is not a business company and has its seat in Slovakia; PhD students whose higher education or scientific training takes place outside of Slovakia and who are accepted by a public, private, or state university or a research institution in Slovakia for an academic mobility to study/conduct research/artistic stay in Slovakia…

Application Procedures
How to Apply: By the application deadline, interested candidates for the Slovakian Government National Scholarship 2025 must submit an online application through the application portal. At least six weeks before the application deadline, the online application system opens.
