African Union Youth Internship Program for 2025. With the goal of enhancing interns’ understanding of the fundamental principles and operations of the African Union, the African Union Commission is pleased to extend an invitation to citizens of Member States to apply for the 2025 African Union Internship. The internship program gives interns the chance to enhance their educational experience, build their professional abilities, and receive exposure to the African Union’s professional working world.

African Union Youth Internship Program for 2025 | DETAILS

The program’s objectives are to improve participants’ professional and personal abilities and introduce them to the AU’s operations early in their careers. It gives participants a way to learn in a multicultural setting and obtain practical experience in a variety of relevant professions. Participants who have sufficient knowledge and expertise in pertinent fields and who might be used as a training ground for future African leaders would further benefit the AU. In order to ensure that African Union programs, projects, and activities are implemented effectively, interns will help by offering administrative and technical support.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria in order to be selected for the 2025 African Union Internship:

A bachelor’s degree or an advanced/postgraduate (Masters) qualification in a related academic field must be earned, or the student must be actively enrolled in at least the last year of a bachelor’s degree program.
be citizens of an African Union member state.
be enrolled full-time students who are in their last year of a bachelor’s or graduate degree.
Be proficient in Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese, or at least one of the working languages of the African Union.
at the time of selection, be no older than thirty-two (32).
Have the highest standards of honesty and moral behavior.
have not been found guilty of any major crimes, with the exception of minor traffic infractions.
The internship positions do not require prior work experience.
