"university of economics in zurich, switzerland."

In this article, we will provide you with all the information you need to know about this scholarship, its benefits, eligibility criteria, application process, and deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

The ETH Zurich Scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities who want to study in one of the top universities in Europe. The main requirement is a very good result in your bachelor’s degree program (top 10% of your bachelor’s program = grade A). You also need to apply for a master’s program at ETH Zurich that matches your academic background and interests.

Financial Coverage

The ETH Zurich Scholarship consists of two types of scholarships: the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Program (ESOP) and the ETH-D Scholarship. Both scholarships cover the tuition fees and provide a generous grant for living and study expenses.

  • The ESOP scholarship provides CHF 12,000 per semester for living and study expenses, as well as a tuition fee waiver. The ESOP scholarship is granted for the standard duration of the master’s program, which is three or four semesters. The tuition fee waiver follows the same timeline.
  • The ETH-D scholarship provides CHF 7,500 per semester for living and study expenses, as well as a partial tuition fee waiver. The ETH-D scholarship is granted for the first year of the master’s program. After the first year, the scholarship holders are expected to find other sources of funding, such as assistantships or external scholarships.
