The scholarship is intended to offer financial assistance to students from the Turkish Republic and other countries who are enrolled in Eastern Mediterranean University’s master’s and doctoral programs. It seeks to draw gifted children who fit certain qualifying requirements and have a track record of academic achievement.
Benefits
Tuition Coverage: 100% or 50% tuition coverage, depending on the program and eligibility.
Research Assistantship: Scholars receiving a full scholarship are designated as “Category E Research Assistants” and are required to work in academic or administrative departments for a minimum of six hours per week.
Also, students who get a 50% scholarship are not designated as Category E research assistants; instead, they have the option to choose between an assistantship and a scholarship, working as part-time research assistants.
Requirements
First-time Enrolment: Students must sign up for the first time in their designated programs. Reapplying after being dismissed or terminating their enrolment does not qualify students.
Application Period: For the Fall and Spring semesters of the online program, applications are accepted twice a year.
Students who graduate from undergraduate programs with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (out of 4) or the equivalent are eligible for 100% and 50% of the grant.
Graduate with an appropriate ALES score of 65 or higher (for Turkish residents) and a CGPA of 2.75 to 2.99 (out of 4.00) or equivalent.
Or possess a minimum Graduate School CGPA of 3.50 out of 4.00 or its equivalent.
