For the 2025–2026 International Merit and Equity Scholarships at Manchester, which seek to enable young professionals in the Global South to pursue master’s degrees in Europe, applications from adequately qualified applicants are invited. Manchester Equity and Merit Scholarships | Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Equity and Merit Scholarships at the University of Manchester, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Applicants must be a resident citizen of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda or Zimbabwe, and have not previously studied outside Africa.
Possess at least two years of professional experience related to their chosen field of study.
Be in possession of a bachelor’s degree (you must have graduated before September 2023) with an overall excellent grade. The awards are for academically outstanding students.
Be committed to returning home and able to demonstrate the potential to make a positive impact on the future of their country.
Have a clear idea of how studying at Manchester will benefit both their career and the wider community.
