International students Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship for 2025 are inviting international students to apply for study as a research students at Japanese universities for graduate programs. Fully funded award for academic 2025 year will be given to students who are enroll in qualifying courses at a partner or hosted Japanese universities.

2025 Japanese Government Scholarship Qualifications
- Nationality of a nation with diplomatic ties to Japan.
- Ideally born on April 2, 1990, or later.
- Exceptions made in cases where conditions prevent application within the appropriate age range.
- Preparation to learn the Japanese language.
- Interest in Japan and ability to further knowledge.
- Capability to conduct research and adjust to life in Japan.
- Health certificate certified by a doctor attesting to no physical or mental issues impeding study in Japan.
Scholarship Benefits Overview
- Monthly allowance for non-regular students: 143,000 yen.
- Tuition for regular students: 144,000 yen.
- Tuition for regular PhD students: 145,000 yen.
- MEXT Traveling Expenses cover tuition, entrance exams, matriculation, and airfare to/from Japan.
