Scholarship Fund for International Students at KIT, 2024–2025
We kindly invite talented medical professionals from low-income countries to apply for the Scholarship Fund for International Students at KIT, 2024–2025. The scholarship will allow the recipient to study for a master’s degree in public health or a master’s degree in international health at KIT Royal Tropical Institute and work towards improving the health conditions in their home countries. The scholarship, worth a total of 20,600 euros, will assist with the expense of tuition for a maximum of 12 months, beginning in September 2024 and ending in September 2025, at KIT’s Master’s program.

Requirements for the KIT Scholarship Fund
- Candidates must be accepted into the Master of Science in Public Health or Health Equity program and fulfill all requirements for scholarship applications.
- They need to meet the requirements for a Dutch visa (MVV residency permit) and possess a passport issued by a developing country in Asia, Africa, or South America.
- A professional background and a minimum of two to three years of relevant work experience are requirements for candidates.
- It is necessary to have at least a bachelor’s degree in medicine or other health-related disciplines of study.
- Candidates ought to demonstrate a history of commitment to the public interest.
- Candidates must be in favor of the KIT Scholarship Fund’s objectives and the aspirations of its contributors.
- Admission to the KIT master’s program is required for individuals who are employed at the time of application and citizens of low-income countries.
- Candidates ought to be employed in a position where having a KIT degree can be advantageous.
- They should be available full-time and capable of engaging in the program both mentally and physically.
Application Procedure for KIT Scholarships
- Only individuals who have been accepted into the Master of Public Health and Health Equity program are eligible to apply for scholarships online.
- A verified source of supplementary funding or co-funding is necessary for eligibility.
- Materials for applications consist of:
- Admissions letter for the Master of Public Health and Health Equity.
- Proof of financing for the remaining 18.200 euros, or thereabouts, of the funding.
- Motivational letter outlining the purpose of the application and how new skills can be used to further the public good.
- A 500–700 word essay summarizing a public health topic that will be covered in class, along with its implications for the community and healthcare system.
