TD Scholarships for Canadian Community Leadership | Eligibility Criteria
TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are open to students across Canada who:
Have demonstrated community leadership
Are in their final year of CEGEP (for students in Quebec), or high school (for students outside Quebec)
Have a minimum overall grade average of 75% (outside Quebec), or a minimum R score of 26 (in Quebec), in their most recently completed school year
Are Canadian citizens, have permanent resident status, or have protected person status under the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Note: Applicants with protected person status must also have a study permit as permitted under the Act.
Students who are helping to support change, nurture progress and contribute to making the world a better place, in their communities.
TD Scholarships for Canadian Community Leadership Scholarship Benefits
TD Scholarships awardees will receive the following entitlements:
Up to $10,000 annually for tuition for a maximum of 4 years
Up to $7,500 yearly for living expenses for a maximum of 4 years
Application Procedure
How-to-Apply: Eligible applicants for the TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are to apply online and submit all supporting documents. Note that up to 80 finalists are interviewed by five regional selection panels, from which at least two scholarship recipients are chosen from each of the five regions (Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, Prairies/Northwest Territories/Nunavu, and British Columbia/Yukon).

An essay (up to 600 words describing your community leadership experience)
A transcript (official or unofficial) of your academic records
A letter of reference from your school, written and signed (electronic signatures will be accepted) by a senior official, such as your principal, guidance counsellor or teacher with their contact information
Two letters of reference, written and signed (electronic signatures will be accepted) from the community group, groups or individuals who have been the focus of the community leadership involvement on which this application is based with their contact information.
