The innovation projects, which aim to tackle global challenges through technology, are central to both EIT and the Ellison Scholars programme. The initiative is looking for exceptionally talented individuals with the talents and abilities to make major contributions to specific projects within our humane endeavours. When students enrol in the programme, they will be assigned specific projects.
Undergraduate Ellison Scholars will work on a project year-round, in addition to their university courses, and full-time during much of the University’s extended summer break. Working side-by-side with world-class professionals to address real-world problems using technology while pursuing a fully supported undergraduate degree at one of the world’s best universities is what distinguishes this scholarship programme.

Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have met, or are on track to meet, the University’s English language requirements for their selected undergraduate degree.
- Have, or are on track to have, a secondary education/high school leaving degree, diploma, or certificate acknowledged by the University of Oxford.
- Have met or are on pace to satisfy the entry requirements for their chosen undergraduate degree (including minimum grade requirements).
- Applicants must also match our screening criteria before beginning their application.
Applicants who have/are pursuing a high school leaving qualification that is not currently accepted by the University of Oxford are encouraged to apply to the Ellison Scholars programme. The Ellison Scholars team will work with a small selection of particularly deserving applicants to investigate alternate avenues that could lead to eligibility at the University of Oxford.
Selection Process
Applicants will need to demonstrate their alignment with and commitment to EIT’s goal.by exhibiting a thorough awareness of world issues in at least one of EIT’s four humanistic endeavours.
In addition, applicants must demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Advanced technological talents.
- Proven track record of problem-solving innovation.
- Outstanding aptitude in a subject related to one of EIT’s humanistic initiatives or projects.
