  • You must be assessed as ‘overseas’ for fees purposes. There are no other nationality criteria.
  • You may be from any discipline at Warwick. Scholarships cannot be deferred to the next academic year.

Financial Coverage

The Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2024 will provide the following benefits to the successful applicants:

  • The full payment of tuition fees for up to 3.5 years (or pro-rata for part-time students).
  • A maintenance stipend paid at the prevailing UKRI rate for 3.5 years (or pro-rata for part-time students). The current rate for 2023/24 is £15,609 per annum.
  • A Research, Training and Support Grant (RTSG) of £5,000 for the duration of the scholarship.

Requirement

To apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2024, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of upper second-class honours (or equivalent) and a master’s degree with a minimum of merit (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.
  • You must have a strong research proposal that demonstrates originality, feasibility, and significance.
  • You must have a potential supervisor or academic department at Warwick that supports your application and agrees to supervise your research project.
  • You must have excellent academic references that attest to your academic ability and research potential.
  • You must have a good command of English language and meet the English language requirements of your chosen course of study.

Document Requirement

To apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2024, you must submit the following documents:

  • A completed course application form via the Universal Admissions System. You do not need to have received an offer of study by the scholarship application deadline.
  • A completed scholarship application form via the Scholarships Portal. You will need your 7-digit student ID number that you will receive after submitting your course application form.
  • A copy of your academic transcripts and certificates for your previous qualifications.
  • A copy of your English language test results (if applicable).
  • A copy of your passport or national identity card (if applicable).
  • Two academic references that are uploaded by your referees by the supporting document deadline.
  • A research proposal that outlines your research question, aims, objectives, methodology, literature review, expected outcomes, and timeline.

Application Procedure

How to Apply

To apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2024, you must follow these steps:

  1. Contact your potential supervisor or academic department at Warwick to discuss your research proposal and confirm their support for your application.
  2. Submit your course application form via the Universal Admissions System by 12 December 2023 (23:59 GMT).
  3. Register an ITS account using the instructions that you will receive by email after submitting your course application form.
  4. Submit your scholarship application form via the Scholarships Portal by 14 December 2023 (23:59 GMT). You will need to use your ITS username and password to log in.
  5. Ensure that your referees upload their references by 9 January 2024 (23:59 GMT). You can check the status of your references on the Scholarships Portal.
  6. Wait for the results of the scholarship selection process that will take place between January and February 2024. You will be notified by email by 1 March 2024 if you have been awarded or shortlisted for the scholarship.

Deadline

  • The deadline for submitting your course application form is 12 December 2023 (23:59 GMT).
  • The deadline for submitting your scholarship application form is 14 December 2023 (23:59 GMT).
  • The deadline for uploading your supporting documents is 9 January 2024 (23:59 GMT).
