Interns will be responsible for using their educational knowledge and expertise to conduct a variety of accounting-related tasks such as:
- Provide fast, accurate, positive, and professional responses to client and firm associate requirements. Collaborate with clients to acquire information for required papers.
- Use data analysis skills to identify important facts and patterns that will support recommendations.
- Proactively discover improvement possibilities in processes to increase efficiency.
Tax Specific:
- Prepare tax returns and predictions for individuals, businesses, and fiduciaries in compliance with company and professional standards as specified by engagement leaders.
- Understand and use the current tax and accounting software applications.
- Investigate tax-related concerns and other relevant financial reports
- Perform a limited number of tax return interviews, as needed.
Audit Specific:
- Conduct audit, review, and compliance testing methods in accordance with company and professional standards, as directed by engagement leaders.
- Communicate with engagement leaders on open items, testing issues, or other essential matters in a timely manner.
- Prepare (or evaluate client-prepared) financial statements with footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs.
- Develop technical expertise with GAAP, particularly linked to the allocated product line.

Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxes class is essential).
- College GPA demonstrates above-average accounting proficiency. Minimum GPA: 3.2
- Working towards eligibility to appear for the CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits).
- Preferred courses in Data Analytics or Big Data.
- Able to think freely and make sound decisions based on education and experience.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues, as well as the ability to prioritise, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
