- Full-time, UNPAID internship program with five days of work per week.
- Assists in arranging meetings, briefings, and news conferences with stakeholders.
- Plans UNCTAD’s research dissemination initiatives.
- Assists with news item preparation and social media account updates.
- Analyzes current African concerns relevant to UNCTAD’s mandate.
- Assists in finding new data and research papers on UNCTAD’s mandate.
- Writes workshop reports and briefing notes.
- Participates in conferences and meetings, and assists with summaries.
- Maintains office databases, conducts web research, and compiles information about UNCTAD’s activities.
- Maintains electronic communications sent to stakeholders by ROA.

- Must be African.
- Must hold a graduate degree or equivalent.
- Must be in the final year of their first university degree program.
- Familiarity with common computer software applications.
- Demonstrated dedication to UN principles and interest in UN work.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural origins and beliefs.
- Eligibility: Not applicable to staff member’s sibling or child.
- English proficiency required, French preferred.
