For enrollment in the University of Edinburgh MRC Doctoral Training Programme (DTP) in Precision Medicine, applications from motivated and well-qualified PhD students are currently being accepted. The Precision Medicine Doctoral Training Programme is a fully funded PhD program with funding from the Medical Research Council, the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, and an integrated study.

Proficiency in the English language is necessary for academic success.
The following tests of English language proficiency are recognized: Trinity ISE (ISE II distinguished in each of the four areas), PTE Academic (minimum of 59 in each component, total score of 62), C1 Advanced (CAE) and C2 Proficiency (CPE), TOEFL-iBT (minimum of 20 in each component, total score of 92), and IELTS Academic (minimum of 6.0 in each component, total score of 6.5).

How to Apply for the University of Edinburgh’s MRC Doctoral Training Program

Consult the senior supervisor about the project before submitting your application.
All project applications have to be submitted via the Degree Finder at the University of Edinburgh.
Applications and supporting documents for the University of Glasgow will be received after the deadline.
Use the document upload part of the application to upload your résumé.
Provide project details in the application’s program section.
Fill up the Research Project and Research Topic fields with the project title.
Each project may only receive three applications.
Every project needs to have a unique application.
